This site brings together materials produced by Laymert Garcia dos Santos.

Part of the material was already published elsewhere, but one can also find here unpublished materials produced during research and cultural projects. The website was designed in a way that the previously published material and the unpublished material are always linked to each other.

Laymert Garcia dos Santos is a professor at the Department of Sociology at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He was advisor for Ministry of Culture at the National Council for Cultural Policy (CNPC), and he was also Director of the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo. Laymert has expertise on Sociology of Technology and Contemporary Art, especially on issues such as biotechnology, film, ICTs, traditional people and Brazilian politics.
